ENDORSED "BORN" (1942) OR TO "BORNEO CAMP" (1943); 3 Aug. 1942 + 20 Mar. 1943 pair of stampless envs. endorsed "Prisoner of War" sent c/o Tokyo ex Oxted and Shrewsbury (fine machine cancels) with British Censor labels and Japanese purple boxed Japanese Borneo Camp (Kuching) cachets. The first simply at Tokyo, endorsed "? Java" with typed "NO RECORD JAVA" and (finally) blue crayon "BORN[EO CAMP]"; the second addressed to "BORNEO CAMP" via Tokyo. Fine and rare pair that actually reached Kuching Camp, showing how information about POW locations gradually became available in G.B. Plus a 2004 letter from the addressee, Capt. Yates.
