Tenerife or Sol handmade lace: a pink mother of pearl fan mounted with a lemon silk leaf formed with mainly circular motifs, the bottom border with smaller motifs of differing designs, backed with lemon gauze, contained in a cream silk covered fan box marked inside for J. Duvelleroy of Regent Street, London, guard approx. 24cm
The lace is in good order, the backing gauze is starting to split on some folds. The upper guard has a repair. Lacking one bone rib. The box has wear to the silk on the lid.
