A late 18th Century oak longcase clock with an associated 30-hour movement striking on a bell, the painted trunk and base section, detailed with scrolling acanthus leaves, the hood enclosing a 12 inch square brass dial with date aperture and silvered chapter ring, signed 'Wm. Beckwith, Masham', height 203cm, S/D.

The cheeks in the hood have been raised and there is a replacement seat board indicating a probable marriage of the movement to the case. There is a single weight and pendulum present. There is a vertical split to the base.
