- Sotheby's Hong Kong, 7 May 2002, lor 511 (very similar, slightly smaller vase).
The highly colourful, if somewhat rough, painting manner of this vase characterizes the earliest porcelains produced at non-imperial Jingdezhen kilns in this colouration, including the foreign rose-pink enamel. Soon after, the colour scheme was standardized to the famille rose palette, where the enamels were more subdued in tone. The form of this vase is also characteristic of these usarly pieces, done around the very end of the Kangxi (1623-1722) and the beginning of the Yongzheng reign.
