A silver mounted 54 bore tutenag (German silver) cannon barrelled flintlock boxlock pocket pistol by Moore of Andover, c 1780, 8” overall, turn off barrel 3” with Birmingham private proofs and crowned “TA” maker’s mark; frame with foliate engraving, signed in scrolls, with frizzen spring in the breech; rounded bulbous walnut butt inlaid overall with silver wire scrolls, and silver butt cap embossed with grotesque mask and shell.
