Ephemera; document headed "A Journal of Work and other Transactions Done upon Montreuil Estate Grenada July 1783" detailing numbers of slaves and employees each day, the weather, and the main work carried out. On Sundays no work was done, and each has an entry along the lines of "Gave the Negroes 6 Herrings apiece". Other entries include "Betty Brought to Bed of a Boy" and "an old (unclear) Negro Call'd Raffein (?) died this day".
