ANTIQUE JAPANESE SILK KIMONO, ACCESSORIES & PROVENANCE. An early to mid 20thc black kimono, lined with blue silk. With various other items including a black silk haori (top coat) with woven image to the lining, a skirt, socks (tabi), girdle (obi), sandals (zori) and a white silk tassel. With original instructions on how to wear the kimono, written on Imperial Hotel, Tokyo Olympics 1940 paper, and with wriiten provenance about it's history.
*This kimono was owned by Lt Col James Burns Vans Agnew of Barnbarroch (1899-1963), and passed by descent to his nephew in 1963.
