A William and Mary period bronze sundial, late 17th century. The octagonal plate with angular S scrolled gnomon engraved with a central compass rose enclosed by roman numerals and inscribed ’1693 - I Showe youre bright houres’. 20.3 cm diameter.
Condition report: Some surface wear and verdigris present. Pierced with three equidistant apertures for attachment to a plinth.
