A Derby porter mug, painted by Richard Dodson, in polychrome enamels with an ornithological tableau of exotic birds in a landscape, deep gilt leafy scrolls border, 11.25cm high, red crown, crossed batons and dots over D, numbered 18, c.1825
Some wear and rubbing to decoration and gilding, particularly the latter. Some touches of pitting. The base rim with a stained hairline, visible from the back too.
