A good quality antique hallmarked silver Vesta case of oblong shape having an ornate engraved design to the top with a shield cartouche to the front featuring what appears to be a livre bird. The case has a lift up lid revealing a gilted interior and is is hallmarked to Birmingham 1901 for William Thorneywork. Length of the Vesta is 7.5cm with a width of 4cm. Total weight of 39.3g/1.26 troy OZ.
