A pair of 5 shot 120 bore Adams Model 1851 self cocking percussion revolvers, retailed by Dooley of Liverpool, 9” overall, barrels 4½”, the top flats engraved “DOOLEY, 11 RANELAGH ST, LIVERPOOL”, London proved; the frames engraved with scrolls and “ADAMS’ PATENT No 30465R” and “No 30480R”; with scroll engraved trigger guards, finely chequered walnut butts, and plain black horn butt caps. GWO & C, retaining 60% of original blued finish (some small knocks to lower barrel flats); in their green baize lined fitted oak case with circular brass lid escutcheon, containing double cavity 120 bore brass bullet mould, plain copper powder flask (slightly worn and dented), nipple key, cleaning rod, cap tin, pewter oil bottle, and some lead bullets. The whole in generally clean condition. £2,500-3,500
