SCARABOID AGATE BEAD WITH BIRD ENGRAVING, EGYPT, CIRCA 600 B.C.

This finely crafted scaraboid agate bead from ancient Egypt, dating back to approximately 600 B.C., features an exquisite engraving of a bird. The bead, made from rich, reddish-brown agate.

The bead is meticulously engraved with a detailed depiction of a bird, accompanied by celestial symbols such as a crescent moon and a star, adding layers of symbolic meaning to the piece. The bead’s form and design indicate its use as an amulet, possibly worn for protection or as a symbol of status and belief.
