A rare pair of Bloor Derby figures, of Grimacing Dwarfs, each grotesque modelled sitting on a grassy mound, each enamelled in polychrome, 14cm high, she numbered No. 53 in sgraffito, red crown, crossed batons and dots over D, she numbered No. 53 in sgraffito, c.1825 Provenance: probably the pair sold at Bonhams, 23rd May 1986, Lot 160; if so, the pair illustrated in Bradshaw, Derby Porcelain Figures 1750-1848, 1996, pages 209-210 and fig. 163; the Wilders Collection, labelled.
