A WWI ERA WRISTWATCH IN SILVER CASE NO 445346, Swiss jewelled lever movement, white enamel dial with red and black Arabic numerals, skeleton hands and subsidiary seconds dial, LONDON import 1916 Arthor George Rendell and Swiss hallmarked, approximate diameter 30mm, in a contemporary box
Movement: is currently functioning. Not inspected by myself. Unsigned.
N.B. This movement has a very rare method of fitting to the case, the arrangement for securing the movement means it cannot be easily stripped down.
Dial: See image 1/3. Appears original without enamel chips or cracks but significant losses to the luminous paint.
Hands: See image 1/3. Appears original, some patination and losses to the luminous paint.
Dome: Perspex replacement, some scratches.
Case: See image 3/3. Patinated. Solid wire lugs. The movement is threaded into the case with a split stem.
Crown: See images. Possibly original. Very worn with olive set hands pusher.
Strap: Brown leather. Worn.
Buckle: Nickle plated base metal. Worn.
