THREE JAPANESE EDO PERIOD STAG-ANTLER PIPE CASES (KISERUZUTSU), 19th century, Two of otoshi-zutsu form and carved in relief, one with Shoki chasing a oni (demon), length: 19.6 cm; the second carved with a Chinese landscape of a building overlooking a craggy ravine, 20.2 cm; the third of muso-zutsu form, carved with an all-over design of repeated square and geometric motifs and rope twist, 22 cm; all unsigned (3)
General wear commensurate with age. Cracks, imperfections and grain to antlers mostly at the bottom to each case. One case with demon figure has a hole approx. 2 cm wide at the bottom verso and hairline crack at the rim.
