WW1 Military Medal to 9-15192 L.Cpl G.W. Staples 9/Leic R. good extremely fine. George William Staples died of wounds with 9th Bn on 18th February 1917 and is buried in Bethune Town Cemetery. His MM was announced in the London Gazette dated 27th October 1916. With 3 copied pages of service record, CWGC and Soldiers Died, enlisted 8/9/14, slightly wounded in action 1/9/16, wounded in hands 25/9/16, received multiple wounds in chest, arms and legs 16/2/17 and died 2 days later.
