A GEORGE III SILVER SNUFF BOX

by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham 1805, of rounded rectangular form, shaped for the pocket, engraved with Greek-key and entwined linework decoration, the interior gilded. 6.5cm wide, 1.4 troy ounces

The metal has worn through and is mishapen on the base right side corners, the other two dented, looks to have been a crest within the cartouche which has now been erased but is still slightly visable, the hinge is tight but the box doesn't close snuggly so opens and closes very easily, the hallmarks are clear.
