Police interest - an excellent original estate lot - MBE (Civil), Defence Medal and QE2 Police LSGC Medal (Sergt Royce Gardener) and National Service Medal. Also entitled to Civil Defence Medal (this missing). Plus named St John and Life Saving Medals. MBE L/G 31/12/2003 'Chairman, Gwent Police Pensioners Association, For Services to the Police'. Lot includes much original paperwork, his Helmet, Truncheon, photos, etc. He is stated to have been a close protection officer for Princess Margaret and Snowden while in Wales (supported with photo) and was drafted in to identify the children bodies after the Aberfan disaster.
