Italian Fascist Africa Orientale Medal. The blackened bronze medal was awarded to members of the Italian Armed forces who participated in the invasion of Ethiopia in 1936. The campaign was marked by its brutality, in particular the use of chemical weapons against the Ethiopians. The medal is in good condition but lacks the medal ribbon.
