A beautiful, vintage, VENETIAN MILLEFIORI necklace and earrings set. Large glass beads (20 mm) without faults in excellent condition. Necklace length: 49-53cm, earrings length: 6cm, total weight: 56g. Millefiori beads can be traced to ancient Roman and Phoenician times, but the knowledge to create them was lost in the middle ages. The technique was revived in the 19th Century.
