Attributed to Thomas Frank Heaphy (British, 1813-1873) - Portrait of Lieutenant John Laurie (1797-1864) in uniform before a column, unsigned, mixed media, inscriptions and labels to verso, 40cm x 59cm, held in a carved oak frame. In 1845 John Laurie was elected Sheriff of London & Middlesex and appointed Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Middlesex in 1846.
