1932-39 TRANSATLANTIC AIR MAIL - UK, USA, COMMONWEALTH: An album containing a range of air mail covers mounted on written-up display pages explaining the rates, carriers, etc., carried by Imperial Airways or Pan-American Airways, inc. an August 1939 "TRANSATLANTIC FIRST FLIGHT" env. (with a fine cachet) flown from Montreal to Southampton on an Imperial Airways Flying Boat (Short Brothers); an Oct. 1939 air mail env. to the UK franked with a 20c postage stamp + 10c Special Delivery Stamp with a large purple "SPECIAL DELIVERY/SERVICE D'EXPRES" hs which has been crossed out as there was no such service in the UK at that time. Mainly from Canada but several from other countries (mainly UK). Many addressed to USA or European countries but others inc. Bermuda, Natal, S. Rhodesia, S.
