A Regency rosewood, inlaid and brass mounted Bonheur du Jour in the manner of John McLean, bordered with boxwood lines, the shelved superstructure with brass ogee pointed three quarter gallery, urn finials and octagonal trellis panel back, on turned supports fitted with two small drawers at base, with applied lions mask and ring handles and egg and dart mouldings, the frieze below with a guilloche beaded band and single long fitted drawer with egg and dart moulding and lions mask handles and with a divided claret leather panel and adjustable ratchetted writing surface, on ring turned tapered legs, headed with anthemions united by a concave fronted galleried undertier, terminating in brass cappings and castors, 113cm high, 81cm wide, 47.5cm deep.
