Of Hull Motor Club interest; a Victorian silver goblet trophy cup, by James Deacon & Sons, Sheffield 1900, with floral and scroll embossed and chased decoration, knopped pedestal, plinth, ht 25.5cm, 423gm.
Inscribed 'The Burrell Cup, presented to, The Hull Motor Club, by W.E. Burrell'
Walter Ernest Burrell (1879-1940), a jeweller from 80 Jameson Street in Hull, presented it in 1922 for the best decorated car as part of Hull Motorists' Carnival in aid of St. Dunstan's, the WWI Blind Veteran Charity.
