1927 Royal Artillery officer's sword and scabbard, ricasso with maker's marks with By Appointment Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London, back of blade marked Made in England and 61207, blade 60% ornately etched including Royal Artillery either side of wings and lightning bolts, other side with King's crown and cypher, blade also marked in panel J.H. Parsons, fishskin and wire grip, tip of blade slightly bent, otherwise nearly extremely fine, with detached leather sword knot. Leather scabbard marked Wilkinson Sword Company London close to throat, also with leather carrying case marked Wilkinson Pall Mall London and owner's initials J.H.P., this case in poor condition.
Brigadier John Henry Parsons R.A. (39189) served from 1928-65. BUYER MUST COLLECT. (See Lot 65 for his medals)
