73279 Lance Corporal Frederic Walter Perfitt was born in Kirby Beden, Norfolk. He lived an worked on the family farm and was the only son of William and Louisa. He had three younger sisters. He attested on the 16th of November, 1914, joining the Norfolk Regiment. He landed in France on the 30th of May 1915 and was later transferred to the 11th Bn Notts & Derby Regiment. He was sadly killed with them on the 5th of October 1918. He is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gouy,
