Cultured pearl necklace, having two rows of uniformly sized and coloured pearls, each approx. 7mm diameter and purported to be originally Mikimoto Pearls, the pearls with good lustre, united by a later added 9ct gold pearl and amethyst clasp, length 46cm

More Information

Please note that there is no concrete evidence that these are by Mikimoto; this was the memory from the vendor (a prominent North West historical jeweller) and the vendor clearly remembers the clasp being changed.
The pearls are well matched in colour and lustre and a have a creamy appearance, although some of the stones do have surface irregularities. All individually knotted. The clasp, which we have suggested is later, is in good condition with no faults found, although one string has come loose from the fastener but is still intact.
