A small 18th century and later 30hr alarm wall clock the dial marked W.Monk Barwick St. John now housed in a later oak "Grandmother" style case, with broken arch dial with a single hand and alarm indicator centre ring, 15.5 cm wide dial, 33 cm wide x 24 cm deep x 171 cm overall height. William Monk (1689-1753) of Berwick St John was responsible for the turret clock of Sherbourne Abbey and others in the West Country and is mentioned in many publications on West Country Clockmakers
