Knife: A V-42 Stiletto fighting knife made by H.G. Long & Co Sheffield, England. Square Ricasso one side marked 'H.G. Long & Co Sheffield England'. The reverse ricasso has a thumb recess with ribs to improve grip. Smooth black composition grip with spike pommel. D/E F.S. type blade 7.5". These knives were retailed in the U.S. until 1980s. In its leather scabbard with blackened metal chape. Originally made by Case & Co for the F.S.S.F. (First Special Service Force during WW2). This example is a post war production knife.
