A large late 19th Century Bretby cylindrical 'Long Tom' vase, impasto decorated with a scene of cattle by a shed to a landscape setting by George Leighton Parkinson, the border edges with low relief anthemion borders, incised mark to the body and impressed marks, height 95cm, damaged.
There is a chip to the upper outer rim and crazing to the glaze. The underside of the vase is impressed 53 and the body is signed within the impasto decoration GLP
