A worksplate, BRITISH RAILWAYS, CREWE BUILT, 1965, POWER EQUIPMENT BY BRUSH ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD AND SULZER, from a BR Class 47 No D1673 allocated new to Cardiff Canton in May 1965, becoming 47 087 in February 1974 and renumbered 47 624 in October 1984. Named CYCLOPS (1966-89) and SAINT ANDREW (1994-99). Withdrawn from Immingham in November 1998, it was cut up by CF Booth at Rotherham in September 2006. Cast aluminium, 13"x6½", ex loco condition, the back clearly stamped 47 087. (Postage Band: B)
