WW2 US Navy WAVES Officers Handbag. Black leather with black rayon lining. Has original label stating "Made & Sold Under Authority of US Womens Naval Reserve". Impressed in gilt lettering with original owners named "Elizabeth M Sullivan, USNR". Interior has multiple compartments one of which contains a separate purse while another contains a metal box which houses a Religous Icon. Press stud fastener a/f. Complete with original adjustable shoulder strap.
