A pair of Staffordshire figures of royal children with sheep, circa 1860, modelled as royal portraits of the Prince of Wales (Edward Albert 1841–1910) shown in Scottish dress leaning against a ram and the Princess Royal (Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise 1840–1901) leaning against a ewe, granulated clay applied to the bodies of both sheep, polychrome enamel painted with gilded details on white, oval, gilt-lined bases, 20cm high (2).
