A 19th Century Staffordshire George Whitfield type character jug modelled as a Nightwatchman sat in a red chair holding a lantern, unmarked, height 24cm.
There is considerable stained crazing to the base and a rubbing line, which appears as a stained line. There are paint scuffs and glaze flaws all over.
