WW1 Imperial German 98/05nA Bayonet with single edged fullered blade maker marked "Fichtel & Sachs, Schweinfurt", spine of blade stamped "L17" (Bavarian) blued finish, 367mm in length, numbered "5292". Wooden grips, flashguard, working release catch, inspection marks to pommel, numbered "36" to guard. Overall length 500mm. Complete with scabbard, with "54" marked on throat. (Illustrated in Williams Vol. page 466)
