Two 18th century sealed cylinder wine bottles dated 1780 of dark olive colour with tapering neck and string rim, each with applied seal inscribed 'H. Ellis 1780', 24cm [minor damage to rims]. * These bottles are attributed to a member of the Ellis family which had brewing connections in the 18th century and later founded the Hayle Brewery in Hayle, Cornwall.
