A VICTORIAN FIGURED WALNUT AND PLATED METAL BOUND TOILET BOX, the hinged lid with shield cartouche engraved with monogram, the interior with blue water marked silk and velvet fitted with an arrangement of nine silver topped glass bottles and jars bearing same monogram as box, makers Hilliard & Thomason, London 1860, the screw top lids unmarked, approx. 4.02ozt, 125 grams of weighable silver (excluding screw tops and lid with screw fitting), a miscellaneous collection of manicure and sewing accessories, the fall front revealing two jewellery drawers , a leather pouch and incomplete manicure / sewing accessories, flush fitting side handles to the sides of the case, width 33cm x height 18cm x depth 27.5cm (Condition Report: the right hand facing side has splits to the bottom edge and lifting of the veneer, left hand facing side bottom edge has small losses of timber, some velvet is missing to the left side of the fall front, and an area of veneer loss in the same adjacent, the velvet is heavily worn in places)
