Napoleonic Wars Interest Engraved Coin: 25mm silver flan engraved with a ship, named THETIS below (likely HMS Thetis 1782-1814, a 38 gun fifth-rate frigate) / reverse the initials JB and AW. Holed and slightly bent. These tokens are sometimes believed to be marriage tokens, either whereby the ship's captain has conducted the ceremony, or a sailor has given it as a token of engagement.
