5th Queens West Surrey Regiment Helmet Storage Tin. A good example for the 1878 Home Service Pattern Helmet. This example retains the original painted owners name of H.P. GABB 5TH QUEENS. Light surface rust name clear. Attributed to Captain Harold Percy Gabb MC who is confirmed as serving as a Lieutenant with the 5th Bn in 1910 and a Captain 1914. He was awarded the MC LG 24th November 1916 during the action he was wounded.
