A Rockingham figure from the Continental Peasants series, Paysan de la Vallée de Ziller en Tirol. Coloured in enamels and raised on a round naturalistic base edged with a gilt band. Impressed mark and incised No. 50 c.1827-42, 19.5cm.
Firing cracks below each knee. Black enamel retouched on his hat. Loss to a branch at the rear.
