ROYAL DOULTON FIGURINE "HRH PRINCESS CHARLOTTE OF CAMBRIDGE" HN 5795 (Limited EDition 3,000 This One Being No 0511) (Original Box And Certificate)
(The birth of the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge – is commemorated in a limited edition figurine portraying the young princess in the arms of her mother and with her brother, Prince George.
The figurine shows the new baby, fourth in line to the throne, who was born on 2nd May 2015 and was named two days later as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The Royal Princess’s second and third names were chosen in tribute to her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II and her late grandmother, the Princess of Wales.)
Princess Charlotte is swaddled in a cream merino wool shawl, which was made by the Nottinghamshire firm of G Hurt and Sons, using a pattern that was first woven in the 1920s. Prince George, nearly two years older than his sister, stands by his mother’s side and is traditionally dressed in short blue dungarees over a white shirt, and wears brown sandals.
The Duchess of Cambridge is posed in a cerise dress, inspired by the one she wore for the informal family photographs taken by her father soon after Prince George was born, which show her and the Duke of Cambridge relaxing with their peacefully sleeping son.
The fine bone china figurine is a true collectable, featuring a back stamp detailing the name of HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and her date of birth. Each figurine is individually painted by hand and is in a numbered limited edition of 3000, issued with its own certificate of authenticity.
