An early 19th century French 22 bore brass barrelled flintlock holster pistol, 12” overall, thick slightly swamped octagonal barrel 6” with crown over “AM” proof mark; plain rounded brass lock with swan neck cock; walnut fullstock with carved border around breech tang, the butt with chequered panels; plain brass mounts include flat octagonal butt cap and “bat wing” sideplate; with horn tipped wooden ramrod.
