Railway. L.M.S. and G.W.R. post grouping. A rare collection of approx. 50 x 2" square format, black and white negatives, housed in a paper book. Exposures do vary but the vast majority are very good. The negatives all date from 1947 and were taken by published photographer R.J. Maxwell. There are some gaps in the collection, sadly we do not have these to sell. Approx. a quarter are GWR and the remainder are LMS locomotives and scenes. There are some captions and notes alongside most of the negatives, including loco number, date and location. Most of the locations are in the North West and South West: Preston, Lostock, Newton Abbot, Paignton etc. Copyright will pass to the buyer. Sample illustrated.
