An Army Commission document on vellum appointing Beekman Du Barry Commissary General of Subsistence with the rank of Brigadier General, 10th July 1890, and bearing the signatures of US President Benjamin Harrison, Redfield Proctor (Secretary of War) and Chauncey McKeever (Adjutant General's Office 1888-1890), and with a War Office seal of the United States of America War Office. With download information on recipient, born 1828, commissioned to 1st Artillery Regt as Brevet 2nd Lt 1849, in 1861 he was promoted to the rank of Captain with the Commissary of Subsistence Depot at Harrisburg, where he was to purchase supplies for the Army of the Shenandoah under Major General Patterson, died 1901, GC £200-250
