A fine officer's 1818-34 pattern helmet of The 6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers), black japanned skull, peaks and comb, with gilt edge binding, laurel sprays, scalloped edging to comb, large lion's head ear bosses, graduated, velvet backed 4 foliate scale chinscales, and rayed plate bearing crowned post 1816 Royal Arms with supporters and motto, POW's feathers, and scrolls "6th Dragoon Guards" and "or Carabiniers", large black fur crest (restored), leather and silk lining.
