Designed by Simon Lawrence. 9 X 11 ins. ii, 92 pp. Quarter bound in blue cloth by Smith Settle with Claire Mazairezyk paste paper covering boards. 3 half-tones of the young artist at her easel, with her fellow students at the Glasgow School of Art and, later in life, holding one of her beloved Siamese cats. As well, a reproduction of a 1918 pencil drawing by her husband, William McCance, and, in colour, ''The Horse Fair, 1935'' which she painted in tempera. 32 wood engravings printed from the original blocks. Loosely inserted a letter and card from the printer, Simon Lawrence. Tipped-in on the half-title an original proof pull of a wood engraving by Agnes Miller Parker. A fine copy in fine original slipcase.
