Constellation of Pegasus Engraving from John Bevis Uranographia Britannica c1750 English Celestial Star Atlas in the manner of Flamsteed & Bayer To the Reverend James Bradley, a potentially rare engraving from the Bevis Uranographia that was never published due to the bankruptcy of the printer that resulted in the plates being sequestered by the courts. A number of impressions however were printed from the plates before they disappeared, and nearly all of these prepublication sets, some sixteen in all are still preserved in various libraries around the world. This engraving is dedicated to James Bradley Professor of Astronomy and a backer of the project. The engraving measures 34 cm by 40 cm the frame 47 cm by 54 cm
