Pair of Italian faience plates by Giuseppe Battista Viero for Nova (1868-1916). With different hand painted designs to each, the first a strawberry plant and the second a sweet chestnut branch with fruits. Each with scalloped rims. Marks to base "GBV Nove" below a crown painted under glaze in brown. A few minor chips and flakes to rims. Plates measure approx 23cm dia.
