Attributed to James Walter Robert Linton (1869-1847) - 'A Surrey Cottage', doorway with climbing rose, signed with initials, J.W.R.L, also inscribed on a label verso, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, by James W.R.Linton, pencil and watercolour, 13.5" x 10.5"
The work has faded and there are brown spots (foxing) to the paper, contained within its original plain gold leaf frame and inner slip; the gold leaf is rubbed in places.
