A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO THE ROYAL NAVY. A Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to L.5026 J. Cassar OS 2 R.N. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Joseph Cassar was born at Valetta, Malta on the 24th February 1890. He joined the Royal Navy on the 31st December 1913, he was 23 years old. During his career he seems to have varied between Officers Steward 2nd and 3rd class, and was eventually discharged ashore for not being prepared to revert to 3rd class. His service seems to have been in three periods with short breaks. Mounted for display with copied research.
